ETHICS AND GENERAL SYSTEM OF PROFESSIONAL RISKS

Santiago de Cali, October 28, 2010,

Professor.
Peter Westerholm, PhD.
Chairman of the Working Group on ethics and transparency of the International Commission on Occupational Health ICOH.

OBSERVATIONS AND PROPOSALS FOR ETHICS AND TRANSPARENCY IN THE PROVISION OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND PROTECTION OF PUBLIC SERVICE AND PROFESSIONAL INSURANCE RISK.

Occupational Health Services ethics does not depend only on the Ethics of Health Care Providers Occupational also depend, in many circumstances, relationships and situations that occur with other actors (of ethics) General System of Occupational Risks, and the actors of other social security systems as Social Security System Health, especially the actors who manage, direct and finance, the SGRP. In: ARP., DGRP. National Council for Occupational Hazards and employers, and the Social Security System in Health. EPS. and Compensation Funds. They also depend on the ethics of worker organizations and institutions have an obligation and responsibility to control and monitor the Comprehensive Social Security System: Supersalud and Superbancaria.

Clearly, research, practice and provision of occupational health services and ethics in them, in Colombia does not depend only on the Providers of Occupational Health Services, exclusively, depends also on policies, directives, decisions, actions, interests and ethics of the different actors of the SGRP. not always obey the goals and interests that should be common.

Codes of ethics should promote the professional activity of all actors of the Occupational Health and SGRP. in terms of professional ethics, transparency, fairness and ethics committees to ensure and monitor compliance.

need to control and monitor the performance and behavior of all actors System Professional Risks and even those of other systems of comprehensive social security system so that it complies fully with the mandatory public service, the management, coordination and control is by the State and is provided by Public and Private Entities latter also subject to surveillance and social control.

Codes of Ethics must clearly and openly consider the importance and acceptance of accountability and surveillance and social control (Veeduría Citizen) as part of ethical and transparent. Ethics Committees should be open with surveillance and social control and to accept and facilitate their performance.

A true guide for the ethical practice of occupational health in Colombia and other countries with a public service with the features of this should include codes of ethical conduct not only for Occupational Health Providers: technologists, technicians, professionals and specialists occupational health, but it should include codes of ethical conduct for each of the other actors of the system, especially those who run the System: General Risk Management Professionals, National Council of Professional Risk of System Administrators: Administrators Occupational Hazards, and employers, for there is an ethical practice of occupational health to inclusion, participation, equity and fairness in the system and Decent Work for all.

important ethical values must be values shared by all players in the system and between them must be included that allow the relationships between the actors of respect, participation and equity.

Each Actor SGRP. must have a Code of Ethics and an Ethics Committee and must have a common code of ethics and common ethics committee for the SGRP.

ethics committee and code of ethics should be made based on the acceptance and recognition that professional risk insurance cover is a public service.

code of ethics should include the effective participation and consultation as key tools for achieving the goals and the recognition that you can not achieve these, ignoring or affecting the rights of each of the actors in the SGRP.

Code of Ethics and the Ethics Committee must ensure that occupational health services that are part of Social Security services are an integral and essential public services are provided subject to the principles of efficiency, universality, solidarity , integrity, unity and participation (community involvement through Social Security recipients in the organization, control, management and oversight of the institutions and the system as a whole)

It is essential, also, a Code of Ethics and an Ethics Committee for Workers and organizations that represent them as the Joint Committee on Occupational Health COPASO.

I hope these comments and proposals to serve the purposes for which they were requested, and help you visualize and understand the need for ethics and transparency in the system as a condition for ethics in the part (s).

I hope the response and comments of the seminar table discussion ethics and their important comments

Sincerely.

The concept was designed by Roberto Gómez Bolaños (1929), also known as Chespirito (being a tiny Shakespeare), a great mood also personified Chapulin Colorado. Although aimed at an adult audience, children are quickly identified with Kiko, Don Ramon, the Chilindrina, Doña Florinda, to name just a few characters in the neighborhood. [1] LINCOLN ALEGRE (52) The Boy Who Lived by going to the circus

"I lived and still live in Mancos, a district located seven minutes drive from Yungay. At that time, families from nearby villages were going to Yungay to distract, to spend Sunday. Just this May 31, more than ever, we were alone, my three brothers and I saw there a matinee circus. My parents stayed at home. I was turning 12 and I went with my sister Rachel, who was 14, Martha, 10 and my brother Jesus, 3. Also with a group of friends from Mancos, there were about 20 children. I think the circus was called Verolina, I do not remember ... The car dropped us off at the Plaza de Armas. Usually, before going to see the functions, we always went to eat ice cream at Nice, the best ice cream I had, I think, in the Callejon de Huaylas. I remember that very clearly. But this time we spend not prove anything because we were late. We went running to the stadium where was the circus. If we had stayed in the plaza ...
Then we
. Should have about 300 children, still did not start the function. Even five minutes we were inside the tent when the quake began. Older people started yelling, "Earthquake! Barrage! "We all came to the center of a gram of the stadium. When we saw that the walls had fallen, began to run toward the hill Atma, was there no more. As kids, every one save his own skin, we separated. As we climbed, we saw how the flood carried away the stadium. Everyone who ran in the direction of the city ... already died on the way up the hill, we went encountered by children of the circus, but there were also adults. At the top I met with my brothers. They were good, but scared. Nothing could be seen in the dust. It was 5 pm but it looked at night. And people were screaming. Just set up a camp there were injured and everyone was shouting. Children looking for their parents and parents to their children. And still shaking. The older we asked our sweaters to make a large banner that raised by the cloud of dust and be seen by helicopter, but did not serve. We collected four days later. On Thursday June 4th. "
[2] Almachius ORTEGA (63)
's Keeper the buried city

"My name is Almachius Ortega López. I have 63 years and am Yungainos of life. I have always lived here, except for one time I went to the coast to seek better future, not found. Then I came back. Even before the quake alive in what was a wisp of the old May 2 Yungay, near the hill Aura. My house is still there, buried near the city, not inside the cemetery. That morning

May 31 I had reached the city of Lima. He worked as assistant to a truck, it is buried under the famous coach of the Carrier Ancash, that is turned to day today and with everyone taking pictures of memory. After resting a few hours I bought a beer and stayed at my house to listen to radio the start of the World Cup in Mexico 70. Mexico played against Russia. Suddenly began to shake todito, strong, sounded really loud. As eight years earlier had dropped a large landslide on Ranrahirca (a nearby town), I thought it was there and I did not move, but then when I saw him come to Yungay I said "this is the end." But God did not want it and the mud came within meters of my house. Not played for very little. Aura I ran to the hill where we saved a few. I'm here, but I lost my mother and two of my brothers.

For several decades I have carefully buried city of Yungay, or the cemetery. They wanted to come and dig up the houses and take things, track where were the banks to get deposit boxes and I've stopped. This is my town and if I did not die then, I will be playing, but it will be here. Even that, I guide and planting roses and hydrangeas are. In memory, then, of those below. "
[3] CICO ALAMO (70) The teacher who saw it all

"I was director of a school in Shacsha, 10 minutes of Yungay. By custom, the May last day he prayed to the Virgin, so that afternoon I had to go to school. On the way I met two friends. We were laughing with them when the quake began. The two knelt, began to scream. I was against the Huascaran and saw that there was not a cloud in the sky. But then, as it moved the ground began to fall I saw huge amounts of ice, and huge chunks of cotton. I started yelling "avalanche! At the hill! ". It was when the foot of the mountain stood a dark gray mist.

started running towards the hill Aura while we saw that huge stones flew overhead. It came Climbing the mud ... we saw how the flood was Ranrahirca and other peoples. At the peak I saw my land Yungay made a quagmire. Were only four Palmeritas. Everything was completely level.

After a while I went downstairs to find my family. Not found them. Gone were my dad, my mom and sister. Later find the leather jacket my dad stuck in the mud. I recognized it because he was a locksmith and his pocket plans for a project he was doing. It could only be yours. The next morning we went to retrieve the body of a woman almost buried because she believed it was my mother, but it was Luzmila Cotrina Huamán of a lady Yungay highly respected. We covered his body with sack and left. Hours later we found sitting. She was alive after being submerged more than 15 hours in the frozen mud! Some bastard had taken the bags and she was naked. When he recognized me he said: "Cico," so I got? "I took off my jacket and placed it green. I said, "Madam, I will bring relief". "

CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY NOT PRESCRIBING

65 years have gone by the end of World War II and are still finding and convicting Nazi criminals, such as Dutch Heinrich Boere, who received 88 years imprisonment. Simon Wiesenthal, Beate Klarsfeld and her husband Serge are three tireless pursuers of those fanatics who killed millions of Jews. Here are some of his most resonant cases
By: Roger Zuzunaga Ruiz
Monday April 5, 2010
Nuremberg Trials between 1945 and 1946, are the seeds of what today is called international justice and transmitted a message to criminals Nazi World War II remains valid: the crimes against humanity for which they prescribed were never pursued. As prescribed no -65 years after the end of the war for former SS member Heinrich Boere, who at 88 years in a wheelchair a few days ago he heard his sentence to life imprisonment for killing three members of the resistance against Adolf Hitler in Holland. Boere already had a death sentence for the same case in the Netherlands. But without the threat of extradition to that country, lived in a relaxed manner in Germany for several decades until in 2000 the German tax Ulrich Maass initiated investigations on his case, which resulted in the process than just condemn.
Next on the verdict of justice is the Nazi criminal John Demjanjuk (aka "Ivan the Terrible"), 89 years and Ukrainian origin, who was extradited from U.S. in May 2009. He faces a process in Munich for their complicity in the deaths of 27,900 Jews at the Sobibor extermination camp.
In August 2009, also in Munich, was sentenced to life imprisonment Josef Scheungraber, 90 years and former officer in Hitler. HUNTING

party bigwigs of the leaders of the SS was condemned at Nuremberg; otros, como el comandante de la siniestra guardia hitleriana, Heinrich Himmler, consiguieron suicidarse con cianuro mientras estaban encarcelados.

Otra opción era llegar hasta España, gobernada then by dictator Francisco Franco, or go to South America.

And in this latter region was the flagship operation against a Nazi.

Simon Wiesenthal (1908-2005), a survivor of the concentration camp of Mauthausen-Gusen, Austria, devoted much of his life to the pursuit of Nazis. In 1957 he learned that Adolf Eichmann, a lieutenant colonel in the SS and head of the final solution (the plan to execute the Jewish population), was hiding in Argentina under the name of Ricardo Klement and worked as a laborer for the Mercedes-Benz. The data were transmitted to the Israeli secret service, Mossad, which took two years to confirm.

In his book "Mossad, the secret history," British writer Gordon Thomas reports that in 1960 Israel gave the green light to the operation would end in the kidnapping of Nazi war criminal. The agent Rafi Eitan would lead the team. Arrived in Buenos Aires on May 1 of that year. Officially, it was the Israeli delegation to attend the celebration of the 150th anniversary of the May Revolution. Only they knew that in the plane of the Israeli airline El Al had moved them to carry a cell Eichmann. For three days

watched the Nazis. They knew when and where taking the bus that took him to work and back home. The timing of the kidnapping was the night of May 11. At 8:05 on that day he stopped the bus that brought Eichmann to return home.

"We marched right behind him. I was walking fast ... The car approached Eichmann, barely had time to turn around and look in amazement at the specialist out of the vehicle. I jumped out of the car. I grabbed the neck with such force that I saw how he rolled his eyes. A little more and I would have strangled Eichmann ... I threw back seat. The affair lasted no more than five seconds, "Eitan told Gordon Thomas. Ten days later, it was time leaving for Israel. Eichmann forced to drink a bottle of whiskey. The agents also sprayed their own dress with liquor. At the checkpoint of the airport where the aircraft was Israeli, the Argentine military stopped their vehicle. In the backseat, Eichmann slept. "We Jews drunks who could not hold the liquor Argentina. The guards seemed fun and did not even look at Eichmann, "said Eitan.

After the trial in Israel, Eichmann was sentenced to death. Hours before his execution, May 31, 1962, Eitan was found with the Nazis. "He looked at me and said:" There will come the time to follow me, a Jew. " I replied, "But not today, Adolf, not today, '" recalled the agent of the Mossad. PERSEVERANCE

Germany's Beate Klarsfeld and her French husband Serge, whose Jewish father died in the Auschwitz concentration camp, also dedicated his life to hunting Nazis. Even the life of Beate was filmed by the movie "The Beate Klarsfeld Story" (1986), which was played by actress Farrah Fawcett.

One of his most notable findings was that of fierce concentration camp guard in Drancy, France, Ernest Heinnrichsohn, who 30 years after the war was a respected mayor a village in Bavaria, Germany. The pressure exerted in the public resulted in a lawsuit against the Nazis, who eventually was sentenced to six years in prison.

Chile also found in the Nazi Walter Rauff, who in 1942 killed thousands of Polish Jews using the smoke exhaust of the trucks. This criminal was captured by the Allies in 1945, but two years later escaped from prison and was later recruited by Syrian intelligence. He arrived in Chile in 1958. In 1984 Beate located the house where he lived Rauff and summoned the media to pressure the government of dictator Augusto Pinochet extradited to the to Germany. A few days later, on May 14, Rauff died of a heart attack victim. Another Nazi

Klarsfeld was hunted by the Gestapo chief of Lyon, Klaus Barbie. After the war, Barbie fled from France to Germany and adopted a new identity. Later he was employed by the intelligence service of the U.S. Army Traveled to Bolivia in 1951 and in 1971 he moved to Peru, where he revealed his true identity (at the time the Klarsfeld tracked him), a fact that forced him to return to Bolivia, where he was finally extradited in 1983. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and died in prison in 1991.

Renewal Of Telehandler

MARIO BUNGE, OTHER Five decades

April 05, 2010
Blog

One World One Day
By Manuel Jesus Orbegozo
yesterday I read an article in a local newspaper I was brought back vivid memories of Mario Bunge with whom I had an interview so deep as smiling. I would play in brilliant tribute to Argentine philosopher: step for this interview, Professor Mario Bunge appeared in the lobby of his hotel wearing a neat suit cashmere tailored to its high physical and intellectual stature, his clear eyes and a wide smirk. He sat

. He crossed his long legs that seemed to have produced a large tangle of tibia and fibula, as I did with Peter O `Toole (who admires Bunge) at a hotel in Cuzco. They asked him if he would represent God and he said no, preferring to make even a simple soldier in Shakespeare, but not God. Bunge, invited to answer if you like to play that role or Napoleon or Socrates, he replied that he would represent the latter, perhaps because the blind immortal taught to discuss rationally, as is the duty of all teachers "or" go to public places to discuss philosophical problems, challenging the false wisdom and offering their own opinions ", as reported in pocket dictionaries. Twenty-five centuries ago, "preaching to the spirits collided Socrates conservatives who accused him of impiety, while in this century, the positivist accuse Bunge madman or something. Curious because "it seemed stupid to discuss even with the interpreters and not to the positivists. The war started when Bunge wrote his first article against them in 1943, and go for a "war of 100 years" because back in 1953 to publish another article on them here in Lima . 'So far no rational response, "confesses Bunge, thereby demonstrating total ignorance of positivism on my work. Sometimes, like if a Christian was accused of a Muslim. "
" I would prove to turn the bad will of men, the mechanical performance of the selfish gene and that this altruistic gene that we all hold from the mists of time according to the American zoologist, Richard Dawkins, is not it, Professor Bunge?.
-Dawkins is an ethologist and zoologist, but not American but English and teaches at Oxford. When he published his work I discussed with my students. We disenchanted. Dawkins is not a serious researcher. It is true that man is a product of the genes of their predecessors, but also the environment in which it develops, even in the womb. Also, a man with Down's syndrome could not learn the calculus, but rather be a good carpenter and be happy.
Bunge
I asked if Chaplin admires or Bernard Shaw for his great sense of humor by spraying with a hint of irony when lectures critical to becoming not sarcasm. She said yes. I remember when one of their keynote speeches organized by the Universidad Garcilaso de la Vega told that the Engineering University was trying to turn the fog to rain to cause life in the desert. He congratulated the scientists and said that was different to what I was trying to make the American CIA in Africa, chase the clouds did not rain and drought kept in the desert. Would not it be in Ethiopia who was then pro-Communist, Professor Bunge?.

renounce the man's behavior on many occasions said that we proceed as if we were animals, "we are beasts" expressed no compassion and understatement.

So speaking as I found some Argentines believe that makers of the world. There was once a universal cataclysm, and after missing all life on earth, rubbing his eyes out in the open a monkey survivor. For there came out a monkey, when he was a cannon shot, showed him an apple and said coquettishly:
- "Serving che, come", he reached the block and the wise monkey Argentine replied
- "look, I do not you do it again. "
and began a new era.

reference to these things over, I asked the doctor what Bunge most admired of Creation for example, which of the four elements. - The elements are four, are 12-tried to show my ignorance chemistry.

- No, I mean a. ..

- Ah, well, then I love all the elements. How can one not be fascinated to see how water flows in rivers, how it moves the sea, hearing the wind whistle or see a flame burning a fire. I imagine how it must be fascinated men of prehistory before the fire.

- Like right now, Professor Bunge, "because life / is fire, according to one of the most beautiful verses of Washington Delgado, a Peruvian poet.

- But this is beyond my admiration exclaimed Bunge really excited as if a lion roared, is the man.

And not how to put in doubt.

Professor Jorge Lazo Bunge had told him that I was the last journalist to interview Pol Pot. Bunge was curious to know what my opinion on the Kampuchean "Khmer rouge." I repeated what I had written recently that in two hours I could not look out of his soul and probes to see how treacherous was as paint and could not say whether it was heaven or hell.

But Bunge already had an opinion: "Pol Pot was not genocidal. Pol Pot was cruel and his crime of ordering a collective slaughter can never be justified. Genocide is the trying to destroy an ethnic group as happened in Yugoslavia and that Pol Pot did, "he said.

and agreed that genocides are caused by Hitler, in Boznia-Herzegovina, for example, while massacres, Chechnya, Hiroshima, My Lai, Sabra and Shatila and many other crimes against humanity of which, on the other hand, is full of history and the pages of the Bible.

Then I suggested: "Madame Rolland has two such historical" The more I know men love my dog more, and perhaps, before the scaffold: "Liberty, liberty, what crimes are committed in thy name."

- Which would keep you Professor Bunge?.

- Let's start with that was an intriguing Madame Rolland which resulted in many deaths. Then, his thoughts are so cynical, but not stop many crimes committed in the name of freedom. "Liberty or Death" is a phrase or war cry that actually should be: "Freedom and Life."

- Life and not death, does not indicate that you fear death occurs?

- No, do not fear death because it is inevitable. To which I fear I have is a long agony, lingering death in a wheelchair, inability to think.

- O is estimated that more "you, your head to your heart, Professor Bunge?

- No, both feel the same admiration and the same respect.

When Bunge was in Lima in those days, I found that only 4 of the 20 newspapers that are published in the capital reported on the conference came to dictate, while the remaining 16 were devoted to reporting on its front page, on the buttocks a showgirl, an unpardonable neglect of the drafting table or the normal life of a rampant yellow journalism.

- Carlos Cossio The Argentine philosopher once said that after a brilliant flowering of opinion journalism, the press fell into the mercenary, is this true, Professor?

- First, a philosopher Cossío third category. Secondly, journalism has always been a mercenary, without this meaning that there is no serious press made by serious journalists like you, Orbell. (Thank you very much, Professor Bunge, etc.). etc.

- You always say so., Etc. .. Etcetera means "and everything else." Why do you repeat it, therefore, teacher, just one more .. Perhaps, unknown or does grammatical rule to strengthen its sequence?

- No, no. This is one of the many mistakes I make. It is a mistake.

was a mea culpa of Bunge made obvious solemnity. Then, I saw how to recognize a mistake but it was irrelevant, surfaced on his face the sober face of humility I consider the heritage of the sages and saints, as I ever saw in the face of German archaeologist Trimborn or the Mother Teresa of Calcutta.

Mario Bunge said that the philosophers who most influenced their education, which perhaps still influence the mature Bunge, are Aristotle, Aristotle; Leibinitz (no t, I corrected the teacher, curiously watching my notes) that of monads and calculus, and Bertrand Russell, English potato that brilliant philosophy to understand that even those who consider ourselves servers.

I heard him say in his lectures than men teachers, especially, should speak or write very clear language that they understand. I remembered that Borges quoted John Donne's view that "The Holy Spirit is an eloquent writer and a copious writer, but not wordy, so far from eloquent style, as a superfluous."

- In the same way as Borges writes, Professor Bunge?

Bunge has unwound his long legs of American basketball player or snakes, and was leaning over my notes and has held that "clear, as Borges' but I think he likes García Márquez who praised by his tongue sizzle and shine his blue eyes.

- Ah, well, he added, "I love Miguel Delibes (I've heard only di Leon, the musician) and Leo Tolstoy and James Austen, oh, and Cervantes, a great modern novelist.

- How modern, Professor Bunge, if Cervantes is 1600?

- Cervantes is the founder of the modern novel-Bunge rejoice remembering, while this morning we see the Knight of the Sorrowful Countenance, when "going down the street looked up and saw written on a door, in very large letters:" Here books are printed, "what is satisfied with it, because until then had not seen any emprentada and wanted to know what it was like."

I also wanted to know how to be: 1) What is most frightening, if cancer or usufruct exaggerated, 2) if he fears more over time than to poverty, 3) if Marxism has something of Christianity, and 4) what you think about neoliberalism.

Y, Bunge believes that: 1) both are formidable: the excessive enjoyment of power and cancer; although this is a bad one individual and a collective evil (symbiosis to which Manuel D'Ornellas called "the cancer of power" ), and Bunge said that although it seems exaggerated only 1 / 5 of humanity lives in relative freedom, while the rest is down by some form of power which is not only political but also economic and cultural. Answered and 2) that poverty is as scary as over time, and 3) Marxism has much of Christianity, for example, what the brotherhood of man, both aim to create a better world while the Christians running while Marxists only wish, at least, Christians those Dead Sea sects, they had common property now, the church rule, and 4) of neoliberalism?, I hope it ends soon, because not based on anything scientific, not everyone favors but only to the rich . Nobody has to follow up. Actually, what should you care to today's world is to achieve full democracy, not one that draws us to vote only once every four or five years. Indeed, in a democracy to involve us all, often, as in Switzerland, where referendums are made every two or three months. "

Bunge's speech would have continued if the time the referee had not touched his whistle and signaled the end of the 30 minutes of play. However, in the short overtime, as when he played football in his childhood there in my Buenos Aires querido / when you'll see, Bunge was dedicated to remember Martha, his wife and mathematical extraordinary internationally known and their children. I shone the spirit and pride choked him as a tender murderer, when he referred to Eric, 29 years old and architect, and Silvana, 22, who studies neurobiology.

"LA DOLCE VITA. Half-century portrait of a decadent Rome and excessive

Saturday February 6, 2010
ROMA [EFE]. On February 5, 1960, the Italian cinema witnessed how the vision of Fellini mark a before and after in the history of cinema with a film that became a symbol of a lifestyle, a "dolce vita" Roman exhibits marked by worldly decadence and excess. Paradoxes of "La dolce vita" and found its expression from the first wave of reactions and reviews, with praise, admiration, insults and attacks that inveighed against the supposed immorality of the film or climate corrupt and were only confirmation of the start of a myth.

Catholic Cinematographic Center hung the film label "locks per tutti" ("no to all") and some critics gave the film positive reviews were fired from their newspapers. The indelible mark left by the director of "The Satyricon" and "Amarcord" drew a cool fancy fraught with symbols, a mosaic of stereotypes and a dream world that many still seek to wander through the streets of Rome. The diva played by Anita Ekberg, endlessly repeating their arrival at the airport to pose for the photographers, the tormented intellectual or compromising image hunter, since then baptized paparazzo parade through this fantasy come true, fragmented seemingly unrelated scenes and a bittersweet paradigm Roman night. Little remains of those meetings of the "paparazzi" in the Via Veneto in Rome, but the magic with which the master of dreams endowed "La dolce vita" with its most striking contradictions, retains some places, such as famous Café de Paris, which Fellini portrayed and became one of the centers of the "glamor" of European cinema. That local historical, icon of a world so bizarre as empty, corrupt and doomed to shipwreck, now belongs to the mafia of Calabria, the 'Ndrangheta, which it acquired last year by six million euros.
Neither has been stellar destination clubs Jackie O ", symbol of Roman nightlife frequented by Grace Kelly, Jacqueline Bisset, Marcello Mastroianni and Vittorio Gassman and in the nineties, a meeting place for criminals and delinquents.
But if you move away from Via Veneto find one of the most vivid of the "belle époque" Italian, who made the Eternal City a center of celebrities during the filming of "Ben Hur" or "Quo Vadis": The Taverna Flavia, a restaurant that time has become a museum of photography, directed by Mimmo Cavicchia four decades.

The walls of this magical setting, among the favorites of the stars also today, are an authentic autograph on the wall that look hundreds of signatures and familiar faces, from Sophia Loren and Audrey Hepburn to Woody Allen and Pedro Almodóvar. Witness stories

film as the romance between Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, star of the local maximum to a room that bears his name. There are framed his sandals "Cleopatra", perhaps the most coveted piece of this restaurant-museum, which Liz gave to Cavicchia when filmed.

"The protagonists of" La dolce vita "were the actors and the audience took to the streets to live and act like them. Everyone went crazy and wanted imitate movie characters. Each main character was feeling his way, "said Cavicchia.

Thus was born the desire to catch up, to live a madness that Fellini immortalized in the legendary scene in the Trevi fountain, whose waters are still traces of Anita Ekberg.

She became a dream of many a dip in the fountain is always crowded with tourists. Fantasy also impossible for the actress herself, as the scene was shot in a recreated copy in the "Studio 5" Cinecittà, where he set the teacher's chapel in 1993.

Somehow, Rome is that city imagined by Federico Fellini. "But the" dolce vita "is over," Cavicchia sentence. "There are not these characters, now the actors are only one day to present their films and are conditioned by their agents. In addition, people are invaded by television. If "Big Brother" tuning sets record, what "dolce vita" is that? It is the bitter life ".

Nazism (History) Woodstock

Extracted from Taringa

National Socialism in the Jewish community identifies the antithesis of the Aryan man, always struggling with it. From this derives theories about the existence of a Jewish conspiracy to gain world control. They warn that many of the major communist leaders are also Jews and assimilate both concepts, Bolshevism and Judaism, in the same thing. The National Socialists or Nazis in this group find the perfect target of his wrath for the German people download all the frustration over the dismal state of the economy.
The twenty-five points of the NSDAP unchanged since its creation as Labor Party German: expel the Jews, the establishment and defense of a positive Christianity, government in the public interest thereon, to impose order and ending with the Treaty of Versailles. Nonetheless, there are documents that support different theories of government posed to settle at the end of the war in Europe and impose a caste system based on the basis of population (peasant / worker-priest-warrior) under the direction of Schutzstaffeln, or SS.

Blind faith in a leader, Hitler, and a mortal enemy to throw all the blame, the Jews. Believers with unshakable faith in Hitler, oddly enough, will notice their animosities towards his party colleagues competing with each other to curry favor with the Führer as he holds power.

The group had long had forged a myth about the Aryan race. A myth about their origins, about its strength and vigor and, above all, on its superiority over other races. The National is a fascist ideology as it is characterized by giving great importance to the state, from which all activity must be organized national reason which created the National Labour Front, a kind of union for all workers Germans, whose director was the Fuehrer himself. In the case of a totalitarian government, other features are typically present a strong leadership of a supreme leader, in this case Hitler, and defend a visceral imperialism that should lead to conquer peoples deemed inferior. When asked what Nazism, many Germans at that time said, "The will of the Fuehrer.

Finally, the elections gave him control of parliament, who soon after passed a law establishing a dictatorship through democratic means. Enabling Act, passed with support from the Catholic right and Ludwig Von Papen Kaas, was actually a series of legal tools that allowed the Chancellor to execute all such acts without regard to constitutional and legal limits in force when necessary to maintain order in the republic. Thus began the Third Reich, claimed that the propaganda would last a thousand years.

Hitler, after the death of President Hindenburg, held in his hand all the power and imposed a government since focused exclusively around his figure, based on the principle of the leader or Führerprinzip. According to this political, the Führer (Leader) was identified with the people ("was" the people), and only he knew and represented the national interest.

This representation of the people was essential for the leader: it was in no process of consultation and delegation of power. The Führerprinzip, maintaining their ideologues, replaced irresponsible and impotent government (the parliament), on the other powerful and where the responsibility lay with a single figure. Thus the will of the Fuehrer was transformed into the law. The application of this principle resulted in totalitarian forms of control and repression, and that any opposition to the will of the Fuehrer was by definition, unpatriotic.

The regime was introduced exercised strong control over every aspect of society, showing particular interest in the education of German youth. From infancy children are taught to be tough and endure the struggle to be the strongest, slowly selecting a few chosen that will be forming a new elite of holy warriors (SS) as a new Sparta nascent victorious. Science does not escape the influence of party which uses it to justify their ideas or to find new weapons for the war that had been prepared.

Hitler's power was consolidated on the night of the long knives when ordering the murder of the main leaders of the SA, assault forces which had supported the Nazis in their rise to power, and the killing of its chief, Ernst Röhm in 1934.

Hitler immediately applied the repression of a broad spectrum of citizens: Jews (defined as enemies of the nation), Communists, Jehovah's Witnesses, homosexuals and all those who opposed Nazi to the strict definition of "nation."

repression took first the SS later, paramilitary forces created in 1925 and strengthened by the regime and the Gestapo, police Secret Nazi SS responded to, and which had a dense network of spies and informers.

terror exercised directly, through censorship, physical attacks, arrests and detention in labor camps. Antisemitism

For Hitler, the Communists were enemies of the German nation. But there was still a bigger enemy is merged with that and the other possibilities: the Jews. Based on a racist conception, since the early twenties Hitler was rebuilding a racial stereotype of the Jew, from the theories of Walter Darre, Alfred Rosenberg, Spengler (Siglo XX), Houston Stewart Chamberlain and the Comte de Gobineau (Siglo XIX).

In 1935, the Nuremberg laws stripped Jews of German citizenship and all rights. They were forbidden contact with the Aryans and they were forced to carry identification. The law affected all those whom the State defined racially as Jews. Continued violence and harassment of the SS and police to the Jews, leading to massive emigration. was followed by a second phase of expropriation, characterized by "Aryanization" of goods, layoffs and excise duties.

In 1938 they forbade Jewish doctors lawyers and the free exercise of their professions and forced those who had non-Jewish names that prefaced the "Sara" or "Israel" for themselves, to identify fields of work and in the same ghettos). The result, apart.

In November, using as excuse the murder of a German diplomat in Paris by a young Jew, were attacked by members of the SS, in what was called the "Night of Broken Glass." The result was such that the state itself had to restore order that it had disturbed.

Jews were responsible for overall the attack and forced to repair the damage, to compensate the German state by the ravages and deliver the money received from insurance companies. Were excluded from economic life, they are denied access to universities, public transport use and frequent public places like theaters and gardens.

Finally, Jews were concentrated in ghettos (special districts which were overcrowded) or in fields. This would continue the enslavement and extermination during the war. Concentration camps, initially for the detention of "enemy state" (Communists, for example), became places of forced labor for medical experiments and the physical elimination of Jews, Gypsies, homosexuals and the disabled.

The use of the word holocaust to refer to the genocide of approximately six million European Jews during World War II, is justified through its etymological reference to something burning, because after the genocidal tool use more characteristic of the solution Finally, the gas chambers, the bodies of those killed were burned in crematoria.

The persecution and murder of Jews took place not only in Germany or in different concentration camps created for that purpose, but extended to Russia, Eastern Europe and the Balkans, where the Germans and their collaborators ( Austrians, Lithuanians, Latvians, Ukrainians, Hungarians, Romanians, Croats and others) carried out numerous massacres of Jews in mass graves, forests, canyons and trenches.

Along with the Jews, other ethnic groups as Gypsies, Soviets (particularly prisoners of war), communists, ethnic Poles, other Slavic peoples, the disabled, gays and political and religious dissidents were also subjected to persecution and murder under the Nazis. That

territorial solution depended on the one hand, a quick victory for Germany on the Soviet Union and, secondly, a change in the plans of Hitler, he still had in mind to use the German Jews as hostages and that no wanted them to be deported to the East. However, in September, the ideas began to change when, probably, Rosemberg convinced Hitler to use the deportation of Jews as a form of retaliation for the deportation of Volga Germans to Siberia by the Soviets
Features:
-German Jews (13.33%)
-Slav (26.66 %)
-Soviet prisoners of war (17.78%)
-Roma (3.56%) and German "Aryan" political opponents (usually people with ideas left and freethinkers) (6.67%)
-disabled (1.34%)
-gay (1.12%)

The physical elimination of the Jews was carried out in a systematic, thorough and effective as a well-crafted strategy that is sometimes described as "industrial" . This does not necessarily mean that the Holocaust had a clear plan from the beginning, precisely this is one of the issues that divide scholars, between intentionalist and functionalist:

Intentionalists considered that there was a carefully calculated plan in advance, intended from the start to kill all the Jews who were in the orbit of the Third Reich. The plan had been outlined by Hitler for many years before, and executed at different stages of officials and soldiers submissive to the leader once gained power. Some historians make mention of private comments made Hitler even before publication of Mein Kampf, which could suggest the mass killing of Jews. Publicly, the only statement about the Nazi party is in the party program, adopted in February 1920: there are claimed anti-Jewish laws, annul them citizenship and prevented them from voting or immigrate, and expel the Jews arrived after 1914 and pledged to punish with death as "usurers and speculators" and committing "crimes fundamental against the People. "

functionalists argue, however, that when the Nazi party came to power any of the leaders of the Third Reich had a clear idea of how to act with respect to the Jews. In his view, the idea of mass settlement was developed on the fly. Historians who advocate this position usually have mass murder as a process of "cumulative radicalization" from individual initiatives of party officials, government and army and in which Hitler had little direct involvement, but merely draw the outline on the "danger" posed by the Jews, but without telling them what to do to address them. That would have led to different strategies, sometimes inconsistent with each other, before escalating into extermination.

Overall, the structure of the Holocaust was as follows: First

, created the concept of Jewish according to criteria quite different from those used previously. Part of the European population as the enemy was so marked as the Nazi ideology.

was undertaken physical separation of the Jews, with their concentration in ghettos or deported to other areas.

The
fourth step was to definitively resolve the Jewish problem: it was thought initially deported outside Europe and then opted for mass murder, essentially by two means: implementation by military units created for this purpose (in the occupied Soviet Union on all) or performance in extermination camps created for that purpose also (in the case of other European Jews). Genocide

The first is the Nazi ideology, which is strongly nationalistic, even cutting a centralized political mythic component added, which divides the world into four categories:
-the Aryan race superior to the rest of race and destined to dominate the world (and the Aryans who do not agree should be eliminated);
-the rest of the races, as inferior and destined to be dominated (and those of those races that should be resisted removed);
-The "unclean" (Gypsies, homosexuals, the sick, handicapped, insane, etc.), Which were destined to be exterminated;
-Jews, considered the antithesis of the Aryan race and embodiment of evil, for the mass extermination and systematic.
Speech Nazi ideology and structure are loaded with religious and mythological significance.
The second element is the systematization of the processes of mass killings, which began with the concentration of the Jewish population in ghettos and concentration camps later and culminated with the introduction of the so-called final solution to the problem Jew ', which consisted of systematic mass murder of the Jewish population.
The main element of this 'solution' were the extermination camps, which functioned as true death factories, whose raw material was the population to be exterminated.

The Inca trail goes into the amazing queñual forest at 4,000 feet, so far from Lima, so close to heaven. Right, Desch, resting. TO me like white Peruvian always been a dream to do in my country what millions of indigenous Peruvians and foreigners thousands do every day in our country, enjoy the depths of the Andes.

And I had taken 23 years to accomplish this: walk the Inca Trail. The goal I proposed it in 1973 when my first social rebellion decided to leave the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie and went to live in what was the priest's house in the north tower of the church of the Bridge of Sighs. The church had been abandoned after war with Chile, I was a second occupant, after Pancho Mariotti. Had pulled electricity pole in the dusty street lighting Abregú, and water from one of the neighbors, many gringos there and went through his accounts of the Inca Trail was born in me the desire to learn to love my Peruvian him. DIFFERENT WAYS If the alien loved that way, how was not going to love me. I did not realize then that love is an attitude toward what is loved, and that the attitude of white Peru has not traditionally been very conducive to love our indigenous Peruvians, much less to love themselves indigenous. My house in the shred Abregú -This north tower of the church, the Bridge of Sighs, he fell in the earthquake in 1974, before he could fulfill my desire to visit the summits. With the destruction that occurred in all my household goods took a turn in my direction. Instead of discovering the inside I would find outside. Instead of looking for my roots deep in the Andes mountains was to find a new root out, learning cinematography. Thus I undertook another path, one that led me to the Mecca of cinema, California, to learn the art of the camera. It was perhaps the manifestation of social schizophrenia which then led me to look for me not an internal root but a external root. That was in 1975. ROOTS

Much water has passed under the bridge since then. In any case I managed to find that external root, which caught fire and came to fruition but neglected my internal root. Finally, many years later, in 1994, I began to actively look for it again and it brought me straight to 6 July this year, in Cusco, to finally begin the Inca Trail, dream long deferred.

Desch, had to wait 23 years to do so.

I arrived with a team of "It happened like this" on Telemundo, if I was to discover part of my being and my Peruvian Inca Trail, you would discover camera and everything. The proposal I made to Enrique Grata's program director, who accepted immediately. And so one Sunday at eight o'clock we are at the beginning of the road. The cameraman Ademir Dos Santos, Brazil, producer Fernando Yovera Odicio, Peruvian, and myself. FIRST STEPS

The trail started at 2,400 feet, at kilometer 88 of the railway Cusco to Machu Picchu. The passenger train stopped to let us down there especially with our guide, Pepe Noriega, Explorandes Agency. A man who has dominated our social dichotomy. He has traveled the Inca Trail at least 150 times as their own, fluent in English and German, seems to be one of those worthy white Peruvians who have solved the riddle of their roots both external and the internal roots of . It was the perfect guide for us.
God must have a great sense of humor, that paints the picture of our lives is filled with incredible strokes. The braided together to make human life, one of these braids must make tissue using living material Yovera Fernando and me. MANCO CAPAC
I was born in a small house on the street Manco Capac, number 413, in Magdalena Nueva, Lima. When I heard Yovera mention the fact he stopped the creeps and he told me. I too was born there! His parents had rented the house after my parents moved into the avenue Orrantia in 1950, he was born there. One-bedroom House, Yovera and I were born safely on the same square meter of land. That Sunday undertook together, after many decades of our lives, again on the same square meter, this time in the valley Urubamba-a journey in search of indigenous root that gave us life.

EL ABRA
Of the 2,400 meters on foot climb on the first day, to 4.050 meters.

could not, as we have been Mandingo, climb with our packs on their backs. Not that we had turned our being inga. We had never had the chance to hug and make it ours, accompanying four were thirteen HIV whitish indigenous loading everything.

The first day we came an immense respect for the lung of the Andes, not only could not carry our bags if they were not even able to carry ourselves. We needed acclimatization and therefore rent horses.
horses could only reach the first open. Beyond the road was too steep. Four thousand feet in a small forest we have to be one of the highest forests in the world, one that owes its entire existence to the clouds that lead to that point right from the plains of the Amazon, a tremendous amount of moisture . A forest in the middle of the clouds.
Peru there are things in our incredible: forest four miles high ... Then in the space of ten meters, the forest dies and suddenly the road again in the desolate highlands. We're very close to the top of the mountain and feel strong winds. We are in the open, between two towering valleys. It's time to let the horses are not able to make the descent on the other side.
open
Just before we reach two other Peruvians in search of his peruanidad: Rafael Herman, a Peruvian living in Houston, Texas, and his son Daniel, born in New York New York mother.

Desch and Yovera: and the house on the street Manco Capac to Machu Picchu.

MEN OF STONE
And when we finally arrived at Machu Picchu for several days after we were able to say without a doubt we Inga ... Mandingo not!

Woodstock 40 years

Trade
August 15, 2009
40 years ago, HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS OF YOUNG PEOPLE ATTENDING ONE OF THE BIGGEST EVENTS TO DECLARE YOUR LOVE OF NEIGHBOR AND HIS QUEST FOR EQUALITY

Woodstock, the cliché has stood the test of time in the worst way possible: as a reminder, almost a warning of fate and a generation's collective failure to substantiate its ideal pillars which today are so alien to us, naive and distant as the images of hippies "bearded and Galatians we usually associate with the most legendary of all music festivals. But today marks the fortieth anniversary of the crowded and chaotic meeting would be worthwhile to save all the good they left Woodstock, the "hippies" and, above all, the most emblematic artists of the musical event of the popular culture of a planet that never again embrace so conviction, as then, the uncertain ideals of peace and love drug that stimulated the most used songs in those years. was war in the atmosphere, but the smell of gunpowder, Agent Orange and the bomb could be camouflaged with other kinds of smells, other forms of living together in society, with other sounds, more friendly and durable, like those came from a distorted guitar that spits out an apocalyptic version of the anthem of the United States or imperfect but beautiful voice of a woman who would refuse to live beyond age 27. Woodstock is a cliché, that's clear. But one would be worth recovering.

THE MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL DE WOODSTOCK WAS THE LAST cry of the counterculture "hippies" of the Sixties: A MASS MEETING AND CHAOTIC THAT REPRESENTED THE TOP OF " FLOWER POWER "AND AT THE SAME TIME, his death certificate

By:
Raúl Cachay A

Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Jefferson Airplane All these names are part of the great history of an age almost foundational for pop music, and all of them, along with many others (good, bad and ugly), formed part of the Line Music and Arts Festival in Woodstock to round out the perfect snapshot of an unrepeatable moment. And, although there were notable absences, such as the then omnipotent huge Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan (not to mention Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Byrds and Joni Mitchell, who rejected the invitation to the festival for different reasons), the relevance of Woodstock also lies in the nature of the current transitional always musical and artistic works: the three days of peace, love and music were also the final gasp of a generation that sought to change everything, but ended giving face to face with a reality even more terrifying than today.
The circus peace that was felt between the mud and rock along those exhausting days (many do not have very pleasant memories of the festival, especially food shortages and hygiene of the place and, frankly, poor quality of LSD, which was immortalized in the appeals launched from the platform by a spontaneous speaker: "Do not consume the brown acid!"), came disillusionment and death: months later, the Altamont Festival also massive, with the Stones as a star act and the dreaded Angels Hell to the care of the safety of those attending (¡!), certainly ended with a tragic outcome (a bystander killed by Hell's Angels themselves and hundreds of thousands traumatized by the chaos and disorder that stigmatized that evening).
And then came the worst: the successive deaths of Joplin and Hendrix as a result of its irresponsible relationship with illicit substances.
UNIQUE MOMENT

As Gerardo Manuel writes an exceptional witness "on his blog Disco Club," Woodstock was not the first megafestival of rock history, but the most momentous of all " . Claro, was Monterrey, for example, another important festival for the quality of the artists who appeared in it and the power of his performances, but nothing could compare to what was experienced in Woodstock: there, the music was very important no doubt, but what was really essential to be there, participate in this sort of collective worship, a pagan celebration more than 400 thousand people trying to sublimate an exasperating reality clearly.

"For many who were at the festival, beyond what happened on stage, just sit back and join the huge crowd was a revelation. It was proof that we were not an insignificant minority, but members of a larger culture. Or, to use this term of endearment, a counterculture, "says Jon Pareles, music critic of The New York Times, the only way that sent a correspondent to cover the festival. EVERYTHING CHANGES

What remains, then, the so-called spirit Woodstock? For little or nothing.
remains the wonderful Oscar winning film for best documentary in 1970, which has just been edited and expanded to the delight of the children and grandchildren of baby boomers. " Is the memory of those who, in effect, made it to the town of Bethel New York before August 15, 1969, which more and more: In the U.S., all the "hippies" of yesteryear, such as gray hair today dust off your old vinyl and Joe Cocker Country Joe, claiming that they were at Woodstock, but not in a position to prove it. Ten years ago, referring to the thirtieth anniversary of the festival, some of the organizers the primal Woodstock decided to "recover" the essence of that meeting with a similar festival.
But everything went wrong: in the former air base in Rome, New York, peace was replaced by violence and looting, nudity in the mud turned into a bunch of drunken little girls showing their breasts to the camera television and, especially, the music was replaced by vacuous statements oligophrenic tantrums like Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit singer) and Kid Rock. There is no place for the spirit of Woodstock.

But that does not matter: we can always find a little help from our friends to be happy.
THE FACT
